MOHLER

by Margaret Nell Longeteig

This tiny cemetery was started two miles North of old Mohler, which has since disappeared.  It is on a hill just North of the farmhouse that Everett Reid lives in, on the North side of Highway 64, about halfway between Nezperce and Craigmont.  The road that it is on is East of the one taken to the Central Ridge Cemetery.

Originally an acre was set aside for the cemetery, but since there were only four graves ever put in it, they are fenced off near the roadside and the rest of the land farmed.  As in most unrehabilitated country cemeteries, it is marked with a rank growth of lilac.
